I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. How do I change the font color that describes the desktop icons?

Hi

You cannot change the Desktop font color.

Because Desktop wallpaper images have varying colors, it is easy for the font colors to be unreadable if they are on top of the same color as a wallpaper image. For instance a black font on top of a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The Desktop icon fonts are dynamic and will show white on dark backgrounds and change to white with a black shadow effect on a light background.

    That's funny, because I have a picture as a desktop background, and all my icon fonts are  straight white with no black shadow on the light background. So most of the icon fonts are unreadable now. This is an improvement?

    Great answer!!  So the accurate answer is yes you CAN change the color of the fonts on the desktop icons to be the way we, the user, want them to be.  Not the way that random designers think are best for us.  I appreciate that you answered the question with an actual solution!!!

    Thanks for the offer, but I use the standard silver grey desktop that HP offers and the letters are WHITE on silver. Not being able to change these is really a problem. MS needs to consider some color changes as Vision necessary! Work on an Adaptable Option for this please.
