Need to Reinstall Windows Installer in Windows 7

HI I NEED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS INSTALLER ON WINDOWS 7 BUT I CANNOT FIND A DOWNLOAD FOR IT  .I SEE FIXES FOR VISTA XP ETC BUT NOTHING FOR 7

Click Start

Type: CMD, from the results, right click CMD

Click 'Run as Administrator'

At the Command Prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any integrity violations

Restart your system

  1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD
  2. Restart your computer
  3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD drive, do so.
  4. Choose your language, click Next.
  5. Click 'Repair your computer'
  6. Select operating system you want to repair.

    Does this will erase my data?

    Not if you click  Click 'Repair your computer'. You are doing a Repair Install. However, it is essential that you do not select one of the other options.

    HI 

    When I do the following given steps like going to services and double clicking on windows installer, under the general the service status is not on start so when i start it , it prompts

    "Windows could not start Installer service on Local Computer.

    error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. "

    I have no clue what to do .

    Please help me
