hye..i need help with this problem..i have installed a game..and created a shortcut at the desktop..when i tried to open the program, im getting this error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"..im running Windows Vita Home Premium with 32-bit and im the administrator..before this also got this kind of error when im trying to install BS Player on C drive..but when i tried installed it at D drive,it worked..how do i solve this problem..please help me..

If any of the suggestions do not work for you, do the following:
1. right click the application in question
2. at the bottom of the properties screen (under the Advanced button) there is a button that says "UNBLOCK" (there should be a security message that states that this file has been copied from another computer...)
3. Press this button.
this worked for me.

This error can happen for several reasons; insufficient permissions, network connections, missing or corrupt files or even because a file or folder is being blocked by Windows or by your antivirus application. See the KB link in this post:

The major concern for you should be your operating system type; meaning either 32 bit or 64 bit. For example if you are on a 64 bit operating system and download a 32 bit version of a program, this message will show when your try to enter the program and will not allow you to enter it. It it basically useless.
If you are unsure on how to check the operating system type, just follow these steps.
1 - Click on the start button.
2 - Go to "Computer"
3 - At the top, click on "System Properties"
4 - Under System Type check if 32 or 64 bit.
When you are searching for a program just type 64 or 32 bit at the end so it is the suitable and working version for your particular computer.
Goto Run-msconfig-startup and uptick the “Winshell” restart your PC. Focking MS OFFICE works well.
