I am receiving duplicate emails in my windows mail inbox. How can I stop this?

My Windows Mail emails arrive in twos.....each email is delivered two times. Any suggestions as to how to stop this?

Only speculations :

You have 2 identical e-mail accounts. Open Windows Mail > Tools > Accounts. See 2 identical accounts ?
Your anti-virus program has an e-mail scanning action which causes havoc. It is wise to disable that scanning option.

Have not found answers particularly helpful, but wonder if my problem started when talktalk, talked us into having a you view box, or when I updated to windows 10 ??????
