boot manager installed windows 7 twice how to delete one?

ok to boot up i need the windows 7 disc in,and then i got two windows 7 to boot off one works and the other is crouppet how do i delete of the windows 7 boot's???

The easiest way to remove an entry in the Windows 7 Boot Configuration is to use msconfig. 

To launch msconfig:

1.  Click Start

2.  In the Search text box, type msconfig

3.  Launch msconfig by selecting it from the search results above the search text box.

After msconfig is launched:

1.  Go to the Boot tab

2.  Select the boot entry you want to delete.

3.  Click the Delete button and then click OK.

Make sure to be logged in to the Windows 7 partition you want to keep when performing these steps so you don't delete the good installation by mistake.

    thanks much.. but what will happen to the system files of the deleted boot config? can i remove them as well?

    Is this step reversable?

    I added an SSD to my system. I thought I'd disconnected the SATA cable from the HDD that was c: - but that drive is still attached, now shows up as d:

    I used a 64-bit upgrade DVD - and, so far, other than now having to always select which Win 7 to boot, was a very painless move.

    You guys are great, I was playing with win 8 on another drive and it got boot priority for some reason, using msconfig I simply made win 7 default, changed wait time to 5 seconds and all is well. Thanks from a learner,Len, "internurd"
