Why does Windows 7 have typing problems?

When i type on the internet or on games, I often open new tabs or open other problems, simply by typing.  Sometimes what I'm typing will get erased, filled in with something else, or just won't get typed at all.  I was told this is a Windows 7 bug.

I am a prolific writer, so it has been so time consuming, having to edit paragraphs, where the cursor has jumped from the centre of one word to the centre of another word a few sentences earlier, and carries on, nonsensically from there, until it decides to split another word, somewhere else. I was using an Acer Aspire laptop, running Vista.

I recently reformatted my laptop, in desperation, with Windows 7. Oh, what a dream. It ran perfectly, for about a day and a half. I have had about 25,000 updates through, some of course relating to Word, and now, in less than a week, the skipping is as bad as it was before. I am sure that it is something that has come through in the updates, but which one?

I run Norton anti-virus, and have never had an infection in my machine.

I was having the same issues with my Acer Aspire laptop.  I am not comupter literate and was regretting doing the upgrade to Windows 7.  This morning I disabled the touch pad (I use a USB mouse most of the time) and it appears to have resolved the issue.

I have this problem with Windows XP as well.  I'll be typing along, take a second or two pause, and start again.  But the cursor is in a different place in the document.  Or like you said it will delete the last paragraph.  Why is this?  Anyone know?
