jUST Upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. Took my email acct away. Can not get or send email. How do I get my email accts back. I did have a Cox email acct. I do not have any on computer. No outlook, etc. HELP!!!

Windows 7 doesn't come with an E-mail program.
If you were using Microsoft Outlook on Windows Vista, install it.
If you were using Windows Mail, download and install Windows Live Mail . Then, see Importing your e-mail messages, contacts, and calendar into Windows Live Mail .l

Windows 7 did *not* take your e-mail account away. You still have the
account, you just don't have an e-mail *program* you can use.
Windows 7 comes with *no* e-mail or newsgroup program. Although many people
object to this, I think it's a step in the right direction,
since it leaves everyone more free to choose whatever program(s) he likes
best. There are many choices available, both from Microsoft and
from third-parties. Some are free and some are for sale. Microsoft has
Windows Live Mail available for download for free and Outlook (a
different program from outlook express) available for sale, either alone or
as part of Microsoft Office.
Some people will tell you to use Windows Live Mail; others will tell you to
use Thunderbird; still others may have other recommendation. My advice is to
ignore all such recommendations. I personally use Microsoft Outlook for
e-mail and Forte Agent for newsgroups, but you should try several and choose
what *you* like best, rather than make your decision based on what I, or
anyone else, likes best.

Don't waste your time.
I have been trying for 8 months to get my e-mail back without success.
I have reported everything I know about my old account and the only response I get is: " Microsoft respects the privacy of its customers and makes every effort to prevent anyone or anything from invading that privacy. Please resubmit your request for a new password by answering a few questions such as what was the exact date and time that you opened your account. Give us messages from at least 5 or 6 people that contacted you at your account along with the tag line and the message.
Please be sure that the information that you furnish is exactly as our computers have recorded it. If it is so much a off by a comma, your request will be rejected and you will be requested to make another attempt at getting your account back. We know the frustration that you are experiencing but please understand we here at Microsoft are protecting your privacy and we are not allowed to make a decision in your favor unless the information that you provide matches exactly what is recorded in our computers. If you are not able to complete our simple request, there is absolutely no way you will ever get you account back.
