Okay, I hit a button on a font installer and installed about 10000 fonts. How do I restore the default fonts that were originally on 7?

Hi EssenceWebsiteDesign,

You can restore the default font and remove any changes that you've made to your display settings from Appearance and Personalization.

Here’s how:

1.    Open Fonts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.

2.    In the left pane, click Font settings.

3.    Click Restore default font settings.

Note

This also removes all manual changes that you've made to your display settings.

I've listed couple of links that could be of assistance to you.

Go to windows folder in my computer. Open Fonts folder.

on the right upper corner, choose Details for preview.

right click on the column header and enable Designer Foundry.

Click on the right selector column and check Unspecified

we can safely delete all the fonts.

FIX!!! Of course, after you have deleted all the fonts :D

download the default fonts for windows 7 (sorry, didn't find for vista):

    http://www.withsteps.com/404/how-i-restored-my-windows-7-default-fonts.html

    THEN

    download http://fix-fonts-folder.en.softonic.com/

run the fix (it will take a while), restart when prompted.

    then download ccleaner

    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

make sure to check the font chache box, and run it.

    THEN

    use this http://www.mediafire.com/?6whodobvh3h54u7

give it a one last restart.

    and it should fix.

    IF NOT!

I'm sorry.. it worked for me after dumping 35k fonts because of the delays in apps. Also had big fonts, like, REAL BIG BOLDED ITALIC and everything was like that.

Now it's fixed because of the solution I just wrote above.

Hope this would fix your problem as it did for me..

    Best Regards,

    RwkY
