Windows has detected an IP address conflict

I just recently purchased my laptop so I am just learning. The message I got on the computer said, Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer. Contact your network administrator for help resolving this issue. More details are available in the Windows System event log. What does this mean and is this something important I need to fix. I would appreciate any help in this matter.

I see that message on my home network sometimes, and it's not critical.  If you have a home network, try powering off your router, waiting a few seconds, and powering it on.  If you're on a business network, consult with the network manager.

    There is no problem on Microsoft's end, I can assure you.

    You are welcome to open an elevated command prompt then run this command:

    ipconfig /all

    Copy/paste results to here.

    (Paste into Notepad then put on USB, bring to another machine, if needed.)

    OK, here it is..but like I said before, there is no other computer. I do not share with any other computers, either Local or Wide area. Thanks for your reply. When I review the below, I didn't spot any obvious IP conflict. But I am nowhere near an expert on network issues.

    Everything there looks alright to me and things should be working well.

    The issue you had was likely that your new modem/router had to sync well with your isp, which is how almost all isps operate. This is on purpose by them to prevent hooking up random stuff to the line and gaining access like that.

    Or, it could have been because your Intel wireless was connected.

    Or, it could have been because your Intel wireless was connected.

    Problem will not go away. Intel "My WiFi" is disabled. Only connection existing is the Verizon Modem. I have played with this for over two hours, and nothing works. The only thing I have not tried is disabling the Verizon modem, and connecting using a nearby WiFi connection. But, that will have to wait until tomorrow.
