Can I delete the system reserved partition from 100MB

Is there a possibility to install windows 7 (clean install) without making a extra (hidden) partition "system reserved" from 100mb?

or how can I delete this partition after install ?

Why is it for?

I have the meaning that this slows down my hard drive a little ?

Hi Johan G,

Thanks for posting to Getting Ready for Windows 7 .

The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.

i wil try a install with an different harddisk.

    Attempting to install 1703 windows 10 new release keep being refused as reserved partion .

    Can I get rid of them and how

    You can't - if you did no bootable Windows.

    Also you do not need to.  

    Microsoft note in the Windows 7 Help pages (reviewed in 2016):

    When you create new partitions on a basic disk, the first three will be formatted as primary partitions. Beginning with the fourth, each one will be configured as a logical drive within an extended partition."

    You do not need more than  4 Primary partitions, stop worrying.  In fact the Extended partition can host Windows as a logical drive.   These rules are for BIOS based Windows systems circa May 2017:
