Hi Debbie!
since your reply shows you have intimate knowledge of the "SYSTEM RESERVED" paritition maybe you can help me with my issue...i used a "clone disk" tool to copy a new install of win7 home/prem to a 128G SSD, and the tool didn't exactly "clone" the disk...it
copied the data and created the three partitions RECOVERY, SYSTEM RESERVED, and regular boot/page file primary data partition, but it CHANGED THE SIZE OF THE PARTITIONS!
the SYSTEM RESERVED is supposed to be 100MB, but on my new, WORKING SSD it is only 31MB! ive tried several tools to increase the size of this, but it will only let me shrink not grow the partition...i even unallocated a few gigs thinking i could copy that
partition over to a new, bigger partition but so far nothing is working for me...
copying an existing OS install from a HDD to a SDD using a clone tool should be becoming a rather common request, and as i said the clone IS working and the performance of win7 is outta this world!! shouldnt microsoft offer some sort of tool to aid in the
process of performing the act?
perhaps one exists already...if it does or you have any ideas how i can increase the size of that partition, i would love to hear about it...
thanks for your time, and have a great day!
regards
