Can I delete the system reserved partition from 100MB

Is there a possibility to install windows 7 (clean install) without making a extra (hidden) partition "system reserved" from 100mb?

or how can I delete this partition after install ?

Why is it for?

I have the meaning that this slows down my hard drive a little ?

Thanks for posting to Getting Ready for Windows 7 .

The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.

    The system reserved partition is an active partition, or at least that what it says in Disk Manager.

    Sorry I had confused my labeled drive partition with this.  There should be no problem with multiple partitions and the system reserved must have a formatted partition like any other.  The message is odd: why would there be a list for only one partition?  This must be an issue with virtual machines.  I don't know if additional partitions can be added to virtual hard drives.  Somehow I thought I ended up without the reserved partition on one system that became unstable, probably from abuse.  A clean install then provided the reserved.  The notification about this creation does not always appear.  This may be another reason people are reporting issues with moving virtual machines.  I would have thought Server 2008 was like Vista 64-bit in not having the extra partition so I don't know what the Converter is doing.

    can we add this system reserved partition to the partition in which os is installed so that it looks like single partition
