I don't mind having the 100mb partition on my Win 7 Pro system. What I do mind is that Backup won't create a system image with what is apparently
a well known error because of a space issue in that partition, and I can't find any way to fix the error and create the system image. It sounds like
Backup wants to create a shadow copy of the contents of each volume on that same volume, and if more then half the volume is in use, it fails. In
my case 88mb is shown as used by Disk Management. I know of no way to go in and clean it up. I've heard there is a useless log that forms in it
and causes this problem and I've no idea what to do about it.

Thanks for posting to Getting Ready for Windows 7 .
The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.
