Can I delete the system reserved partition from 100MB

Is there a possibility to install windows 7 (clean install) without making a extra (hidden) partition "system reserved" from 100mb?

or how can I delete this partition after install ?

Why is it for?

I have the meaning that this slows down my hard drive a little ?

Thanks for posting to Getting Ready for Windows 7 .

The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.

i wil try a install with an different harddisk.

    Open Computer Management by clicking the Start button of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Computer Management.‌If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    In the left pane, under Storage, click Disk Management.

    Right-click the volume, such as a partition or logical drive, that you want to delete, and then click Delete Volume.

    Click Yes to delete the volume.

    If you delete a primary partition, the resulting empty space is called unallocated disk space . If you delete a logical drive within an extended partition, the resulting empty space is called free space. You can now use the empty space to create additional volumes.You can use some tool like aomei partition assistant to help you delete and create partitions.

    I formatted the 100 MB partition during installation of new window...by mistake....how can it be recoverrd

    It will always say that it is risky so that you will make sure you know what you are doing.

    It is safe to remove the letter from the System Reserved partition. That is the default.

    Then change drive F: to D: if that is what you want.
