Can I delete the system reserved partition from 100MB

Is there a possibility to install windows 7 (clean install) without making a extra (hidden) partition "system reserved" from 100mb?

or how can I delete this partition after install ?

Why is it for?

I have the meaning that this slows down my hard drive a little ?

Hi Johan G,

Thanks for posting to Getting Ready for Windows 7 .

The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.

    Excellent! Well done.

    All partition utilities require you to shrink one partition and then extend the next partition into the empty space. They will not take space from one partition and give it to another partition (at least not yet!). If you delete D again, you will see that you can extend C into the empty space, then make an new D out of the space left over.

    To shrink D so that you can make C bigger, you will have to use Partition Wizard, Windows will not do what you want.
