Can I delete the system reserved partition from 100MB

Is there a possibility to install windows 7 (clean install) without making a extra (hidden) partition "system reserved" from 100mb?

or how can I delete this partition after install ?

Why is it for?

I have the meaning that this slows down my hard drive a little ?

Hi Johan G,

Thanks for posting to Getting Ready for Windows 7 .

The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.

i wil try a install with an different harddisk.

    this maybe a bit late just letting you know i successfully deleted the system reserve partition and windows 7 starts ok

    My computer's main hard drive is starting to fail, so I got one of my friend's old ones. When I plugged it in and booted my old hard drive to clear space, I noticed the same "System Reserved" Partition on the new drive, but it isn't related with my old C: drive at all. 

    Sorry for the confusing paragraph, but would it be safe to delete this "System Reserved" partition, or should I just let it be?
