Can I delete the system reserved partition from 100MB

The 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot.

dear Debbie no offence sweetheart i think you're wrong yes you can delete 100MB partition!!

To avoid creating the  100MB partition which reserved the booting,  you can do the following:

1. delete  the 100 MB and the c partition, you will get both partitions merged together as UN allocated partition. then create new primary partition to represent the c partition and mak it active partition and format with NTFS. install windows xp  
2. install windows 7 and select drive see as custom installation leaving the format and active  c partition as it is with windows xp .
3. you will get windows 7 installed without the reserved 100mb partition but you with get a folder named windows old which you can just delete it. which will give you more space and rename the windows xp to read windows 7 instead

I have done that and noticed the system become faster than keeping the boot partition separated as in the normal installation of windows 7.

I have the meaning that this slows down my hard drive a little ?

Why? How so?

There is always a little space that can't be used when partitioning a drive, but 100 MB seems excessive. What do you mean by 'hidden partition' and 'system reserved'? Is it shown like that under 'Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management->Storage'?
