Hi
If answered or not, i am involved.
It was really easy to noticed that small 8 MB(100 MB) of space held up in a unallocated partition of my disk. I did the UN-thinkable when I created the system partition for 7.45987 GB and left the rest UN allocated to be done after the installation . Once
I did all that update stuff and install dumbo jumbo! I was committing so much time to defray the system partition. I couldn't resist the need to increase my partition of an XP OS sp3 I did another unthinkable and shrunk the unallocated, (which was then allocated)
by double the size of the system drive. ruffly 28 GB I also felt if that wasn't enough I should increase that small but seemingly useless for me to even fathom about....I increased it with out delay. Simple really but once I did. Oh boy was there a change
in the system for sure. all the back up restore Files and logs etc. anything that was protected had been unlocked and written again as "if it were a new" space for that stuff. I also may have uncovered a small but ultimate of interesting things. that portion
of space was in fact being held up by another prep installed, distributors blend of installation of nasty little useless preloaded that is found on a commercial grade of computer that can be bought for the "Dummies" hah seriously thought it was interesting
to see that now after reinstall of the XP OS sp3 It's a new light and still a better computer now that it cleaned up.
I don't recommend doing it however if that's your intention then I say just make a back up and giver a try....
Best
