I'm not trying to delete the 100mb... I want the letter to vanish!!! One of our servers, with valuable software installed, suddently moved the boot disk from C: to D:.
Booting from the installation CD and running DISKPART I can see the two volume letters, however, they can't be deleted. Also, DISKPART and Regedit runs on the mini boot and not on the server. With this condition I can't boot the server. To have a C: drive
with just 100mb and nothing else is not helping.
Any advise will be highly appreciated.

The drive letters assigned by Windows and the drive letters assigned by diskpart are from two different worlds, like Venus and Mars. Diskpart runs from a command prompt before Windows loads and does not care nor is not concerned with the drive letters assigned
by Windows. Diskpart will assign the first partition it finds as C:, the second as D:, and so on. You cannot tell Diskpart to remove the assigned drive letter.
But when Windows loads, you can use the Disk Management Utility to remove any drive letter assignment from a partition. This action only serves to "hide" the partition from the Windows File Management Utility, but you can still see it and manage it from
the Disk Management Utility.
This is not the same as Diskpart. If Diskpart allowed you to remove a drive letter assignment from a partition, you could no longer manage it with Diskpart.
If you are unable to boot your computer, I would suggest you use Diskpart to make sure the 100 MB boot partition is set as "Active", then use the "Startup Repair" Utility to restore booting to the computer:
