How to disable auto arrange in Windows 7 Explorer?

Why does Microsoft have to decide how I want my personal stuff organized?I want them organized the way I want!We wouldnt pay 300 for someone to take decision for us.I wonder if you are going to change the Pc acronym for Personal Computer to IBTMN-C aka I belong to Microsoft now computer.I want my folders arranged the way I like.I want to change the row the way i feel like to everyday.Just fix it.What made you remove this??Which advisor told you it is not needed?Who doesnt use this feature??Windows is based on manual arrange.Nice Idea WELL DONE

Welcome to Microsoft Answers!

As this is by design of the Windows 7 Operating system, we cannot disable the Auto arrange.

The change in Windows 7 is by design however, if this is something you would like this feature reinstated, please submit your suggestion to:

    I would like to ask "Divya R" where she gets the gaul to tell people "As this is by design of the Windows 7 Operating system, we cannot disable the Auto arrange". WE are your customers, and WE are demanding you fix this stupid idea. Instead of sending customers to a website to submit "suggestions", you should be opening a support ticket to get this changed IMMEDIATELY! I don't know who's idiot idea this was, but it needs to be fixed YESTERDAY!

    This is just so very like Microsoft to put the owness back onto the customer instead of taking ownership of the problem and getting it fixed. We should petition Dictionary.com to use pictures of Microsoft Programmers when people look up the definition of "lazy"

    I am so upset that I can't rearange my pictures by clicking on a picture and dragging and dropping it where I want.  I feel the same way you feel.  How could they dismantle such a vital feature.  I am thinking of purchasing a photo software program that will work with dragging and dropping photos to rearange them.

    You say "this is by design of the Windows7 operating system", I don't mean to be rude, but what person 'designed' such a horrible mess!! 

    This Auto Arrange is causing frustration, disruption and complete disgust to so many Windows users!!  

     You say you "cannot disable the Auto arrange" - WHY?  Does Microsoft not have any computer programmers?

    You say "if this is something you would like this feature reinstated, please submit your suggestion to ....".  Users have been BEGGING for over three years for this to be reinstated - but Microsoft  is IGNORING its users and WILL NOT do it!!

    WHY?!!
