Dont Worry....... Just rightclick on taskbar---->properties----->select Notification Area Tab--------->In system Icon select "volume" ................I hope it will help u........

2010-03-31T14:23:16+00:00 When I downloaded a new driver for my speaker system and rebooted, the grey areas in the display area dissapeared. I was then able to click on the volume box and the speaker icon reappeared in the system tray area.

2010-05-08T22:36:55+00:00 Thanks I got it back. Your instructions were right on, but the volume and its ativate box came out in gray and would not accept a check... So i restarted the computer and bingo there was the icon. Happiness!!
