Dont Worry....... Just rightclick on taskbar---->properties----->select Notification Area Tab--------->In system Icon select "volume" ................I hope it will help u........

2018-10-30T05:15:50+00:00 Volume control icon has disappeared from lower rt hand corner of task bar. Going to Properties/Notification Area/ ,,,,, but the Volume Control switch is OFF and GRAY so does not respond to change / turn on click. I can go to system settings and view/adjust the volume control but I want to be able to access volume control w/ task bar Icon.

2018-09-16T21:51:47+00:00 I ended up holding down the “f” key with the volume icon on it . A hash mark appeared on my tool bar. When I click on it, it shows me all of my hidden tool bar icons including volume and I can adjust it from there. Weird and serendipitous, but it works!

2018-09-16T21:00:42+00:00 I right clicked but there was not a "properties" button but rather a "task bar settings", right clicked that, and then right clicked on "Select which icons appear on the taskbar", and then right clicked the "volume" button and we are there.
Now the problem is when I click on the volume icon on the taskbar it tells me at what percent the volume is but does not put the volume slider window on the screen for me to adjust; it was doing that but not anymore so I have to wander around to get it to work, whew really stinks.

2018-09-06T16:23:02+00:00 I followed all of the steps as prescribed, all the way to View and Refresh Now. Still no volume icon. This is very frustrating.
