My volume control button has dissapeared from the bottom right hand corner of my screen - how can i get it back?

Dont Worry....... Just rightclick on taskbar---->properties----->select Notification Area Tab--------->In system Icon select "volume" ................I hope it will help u........

    Thanks   I got it back.  Your instructions were right on, but the volume and its ativate box came out in gray and would not accept a check...  So i restarted the computer and bingo  there was the icon.  Happiness!!

    i have tried this method and it did not work. the  icone came up and said ok or cancel, nothing about the volume.

    When I downloaded a new driver for my speaker system and rebooted, the grey areas in the display area dissapeared. I was then able to click on the volume box and the speaker icon reappeared in the system tray area.
