You will need to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate for this capability. Only Windows 7 Ultimate includes Multilingual User Interface (Language Pack) support. You can then install the English Language Pack from under Regional and Language settings in Control Panel.

You can do an Anytime Upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate which will preserve your personal files and settings:

    I usually enjoy windows with good features and nice user interface. You'll have to excuse my language, but what the f*** is this, 

    I'm so upset that I will have to spend additonally 350 Euro for the what I would call an essential feature. 

    I use to call things like this one word; SCAM, I've spent several houndred of euro to get a good computer with Windows 7 Professional. I repeat it on more time; Professional. And thats right, you can't change your language on this very professional version of windows 7.

    I really hope Microsoft won't continue with these scams. /A former Microsoft fan

    I discovered how to change the language for the whole operating system, the system language, the default language of the user interface or whatever you want to call it.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Please check the settings in Control Panel
    2. Click Region and Langrage
    3. Under Administrative tab, click Copy settings...
    4. Check Welcome screen and system accounts

    5 Check New user accounts

    1. Click Ok
    2. Clock Ok

    eso es algo muy sierto porque nos asen esto no venden ninguna compu con windows7 ultimate forsosamente debe uno pagar mas si la quiere en otro idioma  deberian de ser un poco mas justos ....
