You will need to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate for this capability. Only Windows 7 Ultimate includes Multilingual User Interface (Language Pack) support. You can then install the English Language Pack from under Regional and Language settings in Control Panel.

You can do an Anytime Upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate which will preserve your personal files and settings:

    Yes, yes.

    I use linux, Arch, in fact, and it is better at many, many things.

    Unfortunately, Windows is still necessary to do certain things.

    Like gaming? None of my composing or practice software will work under linux, even wine, and I have -never- gotten MIDI to work at all.

    eso es algo muy sierto porque nos asen esto no venden ninguna compu con windows7 ultimate forsosamente debe uno pagar mas si la quiere en otro idioma  deberian de ser un poco mas justos ....

    I discovered how to change the language for the whole operating system, the system language, the default language of the user interface or whatever you want to call it.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Please check the settings in Control Panel
    2. Click Region and Langrage
    3. Under Administrative tab, click Copy settings...
    4. Check Welcome screen and system accounts

    5 Check New user accounts

    1. Click Ok
    2. Clock Ok
