blue screen memory management, driver fail

original title: bsod, blue screen of death, memory management, driver fail

I have just built a new PC, by ordering everything off scan.org.uk. Ever since I have first loaded up the PC it has frequently crashed on start-up. The desktop will show, then either a tone will play through the speakers and it will blue screen, or a box will come up informing me that a program has crashed (ipoint.exe, ccc.exe and others). The most common bsod is memory management, but there have been others. The computer ONLY crashes on start-up, and never when it has successfully loaded up. This problem does not appear every time I boot up, but it is still really annoying. Sometimes, after crashing, windows says it cannot restart and goes into start-up repair, this restores windows and then runs chkdisk. Sometime, but rarely, chkdisk will remove 2 or 3 registry keys and replace them. Please help, this is SO annoying.

After repairing windows from the cd everything seemed fine, until just now it bluescreened on the "please wait" blue loading screen.

The bluescreen was nothing I have seen before, with a error box apperaing saying the a .dll file was either not supposed to run on windows or was corrupt.

I have uploaded the .dmp and here is a link.

I'm going away for 2 weeks now with my family to Scotland, but will be back on here as soon as i am back.

You should check your RAM for errors again.

    P55M-UD4 QVL: http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/FileList/MemorySupport/mb_memory_ga-p55m-ud4.pdf

No Corsair listed for the speed rating (1333) of you memory.

    Back to the basics:

First try running Memtest86+, this runs from a boot disk or CD and should eliminate or

confirm if your one or more of your memory sticks are bad or the SPD values in the BIOS are correct.

Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or more hours, if no errors by then your ram is OK.

    http://www.memtest.org/

If you have a copy of Windows XP around try installing it temporary (if not Windows 7 will work as well)

"No need to activate as you get a 30 day grace period which is perfect for testing"

and then use the following tools (this assumes the memtest shows no failures)

    Prime 95:http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/

It's a stand alone .exe file contained in a .zip archive.

Just choose to run the "stress test" option for 3 hours or more.

If your PC can pass this test both your memory and CPU

are fine (close the case cover to maintain proper ventilation)
