blue screen memory management, driver fail

original title: bsod, blue screen of death, memory management, driver fail

I have just built a new PC, by ordering everything off scan.org.uk. Ever since I have first loaded up the PC it has frequently crashed on start-up. The desktop will show, then either a tone will play through the speakers and it will blue screen, or a box will come up informing me that a program has crashed (ipoint.exe, ccc.exe and others). The most common bsod is memory management, but there have been others. The computer ONLY crashes on start-up, and never when it has successfully loaded up. This problem does not appear every time I boot up, but it is still really annoying. Sometimes, after crashing, windows says it cannot restart and goes into start-up repair, this restores windows and then runs chkdisk. Sometime, but rarely, chkdisk will remove 2 or 3 registry keys and replace them. Please help, this is SO annoying.

    Hi,

RAM will wear out with use and of course some sticks will wear out faster due to inconsistencies

in production. The tolerances for fast memory are unbelievably tight. High or low voltages, static

electricity, physical damage (dropping), excessive heat, and moisture are just some of the ways

RAM can be damaged. OverClocking also can cause damage to the memory.

    Hope this helps.

How to damage a memory stick.

    1. Remove the stick without turning the power supply totally off (remove the AC power cord or use the power supply switch and wait at least 3 minutes before removing the memory)
    2. Static electricity, you need to ground your body or ware a anti-static rist band.
    3. Overvoltage /overheating for and extended period of time.
    4. Not fully seated in the socket and turning on the computer.

I have just booted up my pc and got another memory management blue screen (joy....)

After rebooting windows the failed to log me in. There is only one user on my pc so normaly it boots straight to desktop after saying please wait and welcome.

This is it took a couple of minuets on "please wait" and then an error box appeared saying the the system had failed to log me on and the the log on system had failed. Clicking OK only led to a black desktop with nothing on it.

I think you need to see if your memory is in propely.

    Or it may be broken.
