blue screen memory management, driver fail

original title: bsod, blue screen of death, memory management, driver fail

I have just built a new PC, by ordering everything off scan.org.uk. Ever since I have first loaded up the PC it has frequently crashed on start-up. The desktop will show, then either a tone will play through the speakers and it will blue screen, or a box will come up informing me that a program has crashed (ipoint.exe, ccc.exe and others). The most common bsod is memory management, but there have been others. The computer ONLY crashes on start-up, and never when it has successfully loaded up. This problem does not appear every time I boot up, but it is still really annoying. Sometimes, after crashing, windows says it cannot restart and goes into start-up repair, this restores windows and then runs chkdisk. Sometime, but rarely, chkdisk will remove 2 or 3 registry keys and replace them. Please help, this is SO annoying.

    Hi,

    BCCode: C9   0x000000C9

    http://www.faultwire.com/solutions-fatal_error/The-IO-manager-has-detected-a-violation-by-a-driver-0x000000C9-*1202.html

HIDCLASS.SYS = Microsoft USB Driver - so something is driving that driver into fault. Check the

lowlevel chipset drivers and the BIOS with the motherboard maker. Try disabling the USB in the

BIOS and see if the system faults. A add-in USB card can be used to provide USB and they are

    not expensive.

    Hope this helps.

Hi, please enable Driver verifier to get the causing driver:

Start > type verifier in the Search programs and files box and press "Enter" > Create standard settings > Next > Select driver names from a list > then select all non-Microsoft drivers > Finish

    Restart the computer.

When you receive a BSOD, restart the computer in "Safe Mode" and do the following:

Start > type verifier in the Search programs and files box and press "Enter" > Delete existing settings > Finish

Restart the computer, log into Normal Mode and upload the new Minidump.
