How to locate and install my flash drive on my computer?

I plug my flash drive into the usb port provided in the front part of my computer but I'm unable to located to look at my content.

Hi,

I would suggest you to check in the BIOS if it is disabled.

Note: Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

You can also check the mother board manual to know more about BIOS.

If that doesn’t help, then you need to check the connections in the system tower.

    USB ports in the front of the computer are usually USB 2.0 type. USB 3.0 drives are sometimes found on the back of the computer, Just a hint , if you have a USB 3.0 drive you should look for a BLUE port (USB 3.0)

    There are USB sticks that are compatable with both types of ports. it has been said that USB 3.0 sticks are only compatable with USB 3.0 ports. YOUR USB sticks must be the compatable type.

    There are some USB 3.x devices that don't play well with USB 2.0.  They are in the minority.  Again, you're quite a distance from knowing what you're talking about, so it would be good if you would refrain from muddying up the waters.

    OK maybe you should educate me as to the difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 .  I saw a post in this that CLEARLY SHOWS the difference.  USB  3.0 ports ARE BLUE.
