How to locate and install my flash drive on my computer?

I plug my flash drive into the usb port provided in the front part of my computer but I'm unable to located to look at my content.

Hi,

I would suggest you to check in the BIOS if it is disabled.

Note: Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

You can also check the mother board manual to know more about BIOS.

If that doesn’t help, then you need to check the connections in the system tower.

    You probably got stuck buying a (new) USB 3.0 drive  they are NOT comparable with win 10 .  go back and get your money back and/or trade it for a USB 2.0 drive, your problems will be over.

    It appears that win 10 does not support the newer USB 3.0 drives you will have to find an old USB 2.0 drive or just buy one they are cheaper anyway. 

    I broke my USB 2.0 drive when my computer fell over so I went out to buy a new one thinking that 3.0 is better than 2.0 I bought the new one now I just have the old broken one the cover had broken off. but to my surprise it still works when I go back to the store I'll buy a USB 2.0 ....  32 GB drive.

    • how do I locate and install my usb drive on my new laptop.  cant find the info in settings. I got a new laptop and want to pull up some games and photos....it wont give me access when I just put it in without installing it
