Is there a stop to Internet Backgammon cheaters?

Actually, the cheaters remind me of democrats.  "Let me just pull that lever for you"

I agree with you that there are cheaters out there.  I first began noticing they always rolled EXACTLY what they needed.  Next they started rolling doubles A LOT.  Then, it was double sixes, three times in a row!  What are the odds of that?  I might roll one or two doubles in a game, every other roll for the cheater is a double.  I play another dice game and I can tell you real dice just don't hit doubles that often.  I am just a beginner.  If these people are not cheating I would like to know just how to hold my tongue to roll all those doubles they seem to get.  I also noticed that I rarely win the first roll.  AND I get A LOT of one's and two's and one's and three's.  I don't know what kind of satisfaction they are getting by cheating a beginner.  And they are CHEATING so they are not really winning.  So the cheaters are cheating beginners as well.  Yesterday I was in a game with a cheater who would not let me move.   He kept preventing my moves and would only let me move certain ones.  I bet he had a lot of fun with that.  I also have had quite a few of the sitters and when somehow they happen to be losing they quit.  I win more games off the computer than with these cheaters.

As for flagoff, you don't know what you are talking about.  I find it hard to believe you haven't been cheated, you must not play much.  If a hacker can hack into the US government they can easily hack into an "unsophisticated" little program like this.  If you are an expert player you should not be playing in the beginner playground.

I do not like to quit but I have started to quit the cheaters.  It is no fun to play when losers cheat to win.  Even when they win they ar still losers.

Well, I woudn't believe this to be true if I hadn't seen it myself. I just had a game with someone and here is how it started: I roll to see who goes first. I lose and he makes the first move. Just as he is moving his first piece one of his pieces flies off the board and into the area where the game ends. I don't know what that area is called. I have a screen shot to support this. I was like, whoa, what just went on here? Someone has definitely hacked into this. How else could it happen? When I finally said "nice try" he resigned.

Yes there certainly cheaters out there.

If you have been playing gammon for years you know the difference between random numbers (like out of a cup) and the consistency in witch he opponent gets curiously advantaged numbers, not once or twice but time after time filling his home space in 3-4 rolls.

Knowing where to place your markers is one thing, but being able to dial in advantaged numbers every time is another.

Here is another con-strategy being used. T disguise themselves they will play like retarded children at the outset of the game, to convince you they are legit. But about half way through they switch on the

(software?) or what ever and the entire game changes in personality instantly.

Out of the blue every roll is perfect. You will have your markers on the 12 spot trying to get home but every single roll combo you make will have a (1) in it preventing you from leaving your marker exposed.

So you go ahead and move anyway, and with out any doubt (never fails) the opposition gets a (1)

to knock you out. There is no way this by chance, the numbers are to consistent. They are being dialed in by the competition.

We all know when there is that miserable lag time after they roll their die, there are up to something

it almost never fails.

The other day they moved after their (delayed roll) then I rolled, and the die kept spinning and spinning, till finally they settled. There was no question my numbers were being selected by my opponent.

I thought there was something wrong with my eyes after so many times your numbers come up after a roll, it will be (example) a 3/6 you move your first marker 3 but when you go to move your second one the number has changed, usually by one digit. This seems to save the opponent's butt every time.

Anyone who plays the computer knows how fast and silky smooth the marker transactions are.

Smooth as silk and fast as **** and consistent.

Some of these cheater gammon players have to have automated programs because right in the middle of the game especially if they are loosing, the rhythm and personality of the game changes

instantly. The numbers are no longer random but turn precise instantly.

It's like you are playing the computer all of a sudden. You look down to see that your not,.. but the game changes as if you are.

These gammon cons think we do not notice it but it is obvious as ****.

I don't mind loosing anytime to anyone who is playing fair, but there is no pleasure in knowing their numbers as well as yours are being manipulated.

What the **** is the point? Obviously, these people cant play unaided. They are sociopaths that lie hide cheat, because they're just as fulfilled to win by cheating as an honest win.

What a shame a great game is being so perverted. It's just one of those examples where no one can win if they can't.

I hope they enjoy getting dropped time and time again.

There needs to be an IM available in far more detail to address these flakes during the game.

Microsoft needs to look into this but probably wont because the game is free and they don't want to spend time and money on something that is not returning to them.
