it's a good read with many good answers but as always the thread gets waayyy too confusing, best advise is to start a new question then someone can help without all the confusion.

Steve I hope this "Fix it " solution works. :o) Thank you either way*. I used  MSI Windows Cleanup Utility to remove Net ad now I am not exactly certain as to how to re-install or if Windows Updates will automatically do this? One article said to go to : heck I think I've got it ! I hope, c/ya...... But just in case I do not I'll be back w/you.*

Hi I have been following this thread to see if his problem and your answers could relate to my virus problem. which i think it does.

So i have download the Malwarebytes that you advised him(hellandbliss) to do and installed it and is running as i type.

I'm currently in consultation with PCtools Support as the purchase of Spyware Doctor yesterday didn't remove the virus nor has MSE which i loaded on after Microsoft closed LiveOne Care (Which worked for me for years without any problems.) Even with all the support out there i think these forums could be the answer The worst scenario is that i have to re-format my hard drive This virus won't allow me to update any security issues. nor backup my computer.

Just to let you know the program that i was running above a quick scan has finished with 40 objects as infected What do you suggest. Regards Steve
