I can't check for, download or install updates through Windows Update. HELP!

Hoping to use Fix it but it will not install because it cannoy stop the cryptographic service on Windows 7.
In Safe mode, the installer service is not on.
Did not do a thing for my windows 7 problem.
This worked for me SO well, every single problem i had with my pc went away, defender not working, media player not doing slideshows, updater not working, not being able to view system info, all cleared up, thank you loads.
