System Interrupts Huge CPU Usage

Hi,

I have just recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my machine and I am having a problem with a process called System Interrupts using alot (25% approximately) of CPU.

I have tried several supposed fixes i have found here and on other forums but have not solved the issue.

I am at wits end.

My computer got so slow that the mouse was slow and jerky and I had to reboot. System interrupts was at about 30% CPU time. My PC is now with 5 days uptime and the bug seems to have disappeared. The following solution seems to solve the issue :

  1. Right-click on the speaker icon
  2. Select playback devices
  3. Click on the speaker properties
  4. Go to the enhancements Tab
  5. Click Disable All Sound Effects
  6. Click OK. You're done!

The sound enhancements seem for some reason to cause the problem even when not used. So disable them following the procedure above. Good luck!

    I have the same question,and I have resolved it today!

    My computer is Lenovo y460,OS is Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

    I remember that I have add a 4GB RAM(kingston) before,so I have 6 GB RAM（2 GB RAM made by Ramaxel）,The caused System interrupts using 20%CPU.

    Today,I removed the 2 GB RAM，question resolved...

    I suggestion try to use 1 RAM in your computer.

    OK, but I installed the latest drivers from Nvidia but its not the source of the problem for me. The problem occurred when I had the Integrated GPU only. The Problem hasn't surfaced after I installed GT610 on my machine.

    Its ain't about RAM buddy. Its got something to do with the Processor or GPU while using Windows 7.

    ADD more RAM....to your computer.

    Max it out, in fact.

    The CPU is working 'over-time', struggling to do EVERYTHING, the 'reason' behind the heavy CPU usage.

    You don't have enough RAM...in computer.

    And, it sounds like it can do with a 'good clean-out of the cookies as well. masses of 'cookies' will slow down even the fastest computer.

     

    What is the rating...of the cPU?

    1.6 GHz?

     With 1 gig of RAM,  500 Mbs of Video-RAM on the graphics-card?

     

    I run a 3.0 Ghz Dual-core AMD CPU...in mine.

    With 4 GIG of RAM.

    With a 1 GIG Graphics-card.

    It works just fine for me, the way I built it to be!

     

    Same bug 8gb ram
