System Interrupts Huge CPU Usage

Hi,

I have just recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my machine and I am having a problem with a process called System Interrupts using alot (25% approximately) of CPU.

I have tried several supposed fixes i have found here and on other forums but have not solved the issue.

I am at wits end.

My computer got so slow that the mouse was slow and jerky and I had to reboot. System interrupts was at about 30% CPU time. My PC is now with 5 days uptime and the bug seems to have disappeared. The following solution seems to solve the issue :

  1. Right-click on the speaker icon
  2. Select playback devices
  3. Click on the speaker properties
  4. Go to the enhancements Tab
  5. Click Disable All Sound Effects
  6. Click OK. You're done!

The sound enhancements seem for some reason to cause the problem even when not used. So disable them following the procedure above. Good luck!

    For me in Device Manager I started disabling USB devices and started seeing improvement - not exactly sure why.  One I disabled was my mouse and turned that back on.  Another is a USB wireless adapter which I need.  This for me has cut the system interrupt CPU use down by 20-30%

    i found my issue. my processor was dieing the thing got so hot it cooked my coolent gel and fused with the stupid cooling system on it. new processor everything works wonderfull now.

    i tried what you said and doesn't work the problem still comes back :(

    i have a asus K53SC laptop

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz

    System Type: x64-based PC

    Total Physical Memory: 7.91 GB

    OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

    graphics:  NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX 1G

    that annoying system interrupts doesn't seem to be there when i first boot it up, but it comes again after 10-30 minutes of use and starts eating 25% of my cpu...

    please i need help, i cant even move my mouse when system interrupts starts using all the cpu :(
