Printer problem - Items sent to print are not printing.

I'm having problems with my printer.  If I send a document over to be printed it doesn't print?  There's no jam, the cartridges are full and there's  paper.  Help!

Hi Bob,

Getting a test page out is good start, but there a few thing s you can try to get your printer fully working...

Microsoft provides a Fix It tool which will troubleshoot the printer for you, and might give some useful information on what might be causing an issue:

If you are getting prints out it sounds as though there isn't much wrong with the spools service, but keep an eye on it as sometimes a print job can throw the service out. You'll find it in Services.

Also, make sure you have the latest driver for the printer from the manufacturers website. You view what drivers you have already from Print Management, which you can find in Administrative Tools from the Control Panel.

    i found the problem. one of my documents just wouldn't print, so the rest wouldnt. when i tried to delete it, it glitched and stuck. i finally pulled the plug(literally) then reinstalled my printer. :3

    Me too!!! HP Officejet 4500 Wireless...but I don't use wireless...have USB

    I've run diagnostics, trouble shooting, checked drivers...made default

    I can scan/copy/print but cannot print from computer
