How can I convert my USB memory stick from EXFAT to NTFS? It's not letting me format it to NTFS.

Hi there,

I have bought 64GB USB Memory Stick. But I am not able to format this drive into NTFS file system. I have got Windows 7 operating system. It is only allowing me to formate it into EXFAT only. Because of non NTFS file system i am not able to copy bigger than 2GB file. Even sometimes if i copy the whole folder still nothing gets copy in it. Only the folder name.

I have tried different partition softwares to formate it into NTFS but still no louck atall. Even i tried to make partition of 8GB but still no luck.

So, is there any other way that i can formate my memory stick into NTFS file system.

Please help for this problem. I am looking for the solution since last 3 months.

    Hi ! I have the best way to change EXFAT system thumb drive to NTFS system. If you format your flash drive to exfat system on macbook, you have to format again into that system but in this step you have to choose master boot record system. You can find it on mac which os is el captian. If you format process is complete on mac then you have to plug your flash drive into windows os computer and open command prompt. In commant prompt you have to type this command line....

    format F:/fs:NTFS 

    then press enter key.

    the format process will start and it will take some time. Be patient. After the process is end,your flash drive will be in NTFS system. Good luck.

    Thanks for the tip. I tried the Mini Partition Wizard and did convert an exFat disk to NTFS bit it somehow could not read files transferred to it

    Tried another disk and it totally corrupted it till it's now a deadweight

    Guess need to work more on it.
