Error Code 0x80041004

The cause is rather simple: when you get this ERROR CODE (0x80041004) after 20-30 seconds of waiting, it simply means that the server is NOT responding because IT IS OFFLINE/DOWN.

Try playing the games from ANOTHER PC and if you get the error code, it should reassure you that this IS the case!!!

PERIOD! Case closed!....

No SSL clearing, no firewall rule editing, no Internet "Adance" exception In Internet Zone (where does this solution comes from! Geeeee.....!!!)  will fix this issue. You can try bamboozling any stupid solution that you believe will make you become the wizard of Oz but THERE IS NOTHING TO DO BUT WAIT...

Go play solitaire or better yet: get your lazy a** off your couch and go swim at the municipal pool or play volleyball with others. SOCIALIZE damn it! Who knows, you might like it! :-)

It's a shame that Microsoft is also too "unconcerned" to issue an update that could soooo easily fix this issue by advising the end-user that the server is down. Noooo... The're too much busy sending stupid critical updates to harass  WindowsXP users that their support for this product has ended.... And you better BUY ANOTHER OS FAST to get THE MOST (YA right!) out of all the best thing they have to offer.... What a joke this company has become! When you start thinking of this, you realize what a no good scam company it now is!!!  Anyway, my 2 cents!

At the time of writing this post, the games have been down for the past 2 days. I expect this to REMAIN FOR THE NEXT DAYS...  Let's post back when the server is back up!!!

I am sorry you felt the need to insult people that want to play Internet games. Although, you must play them too or you wouldn't know about the problem. How are you able to know whether or not someone is lazy? There are various reasons why people take time to play games. Some people are alone and bedridden, some have a disability that makes it necessary to have activities that allow them to sit. God bless you that you are able to go swim and play volleyball. Please do that instead of writing insults.

You write the server has been down for the past 2 days. I have been able to play for the past 2 days. Why is the server down for you and not for everyone? Also, why do some games stop in the middle with this error and then another game may be started immediately? Based on the pattern that I have observed, and reported to MS, I think it may be something else. MS says it is our connection to the server and swears it is not something they can fix. They think it is our Internet Service Provider. I don't think it is that either because I switched Internet providers and have experienced the problem with both providers. You are correct about the fact it is a low priority for MS. They are kept busy fixing 'fixes' that are released without being tested completely.

BTW, my OS is Windows 7.... if you are having it on Windows XP that is a shame. You are more behind on updating your system than I am.

If your advise is to just wait, that is sad.
