My computer keeps shutting down...help please!
My computer shuts down unexpectedly...no warnings no error messages. I just installed Windows 7 successfully and it shut down after a few minutes online. Sometimes it shuts down after 2 or 3 minutes, sometimes longer. I was hoping it was a virus, so I did a clean install with Windows 7. Looks like that didn't help. Could it be the hard drive? Is there any way to troubleshoot what the problem could be? Could something inside the computer be loose? Any help would be really appreciated!

2016-04-22T19:48:58+00:00 I just had a problem with this issue!! Go into the system bios F2. Make sure you have set the temperature controls to 75 or 80 degrees. Mine was disabled....and the hard drive was shutting down as soon as it got somewhat hot. Once you have established a thermostat threshold the computer won't shut down ie the hard drive won't crash until it has reached the temperature you have set. And that will be probably never, because you should be keeping it well ventilated anyway. The hard drive shutdown is a safety mechanism.. So go ahead and check your bios F2 and set a higher temperature threshold and you should be fine.
