How to print all the files in a folder without opening each one?

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how to print all files contained within a folder? I often need to print many files contained within a folder and this would save me a great deal of time!

I've done some testing, and it appears that Windows 7 only allows printing multiple files when they're all the same file type.  So, for example, you can select and print 15 Word documents, but not one Word document and one PDF document.

To work around this limitation, you can print each file type separately.  For example, to print the PDF files in a folder:

  1. Type *.PDF in the Search box at the upper right.
  2. For 1-15 files, press CTRL+A to select all of them.
  3. For 16 or more files, select 15 of them (click the first, SHIFT +click the last).
  4. Right-click any file and click Print .
  5. Repeat steps 3-4 as required.

    I downloaded the print conductor software suggested within this thread.  I will have to change my file extensions as I am using it to print a group of software source files (.pas) not recognized as standard.  They are plain text so no matter...  More convenient than opening each individually to print.  I suggest to Microsoft that if the program associated to open said files is known then multiple file select & print should be understood, regardless of the extension.

    I do this almost daily. I use a http://www.rasteredge.com/how-to/csharp-imaging/pdf-print/[PDF printer driver](http://www.rasteredge.com/how-to/vb-net-imaging/pdf-print/) called Raster edge . Install it and it becomes a selectable printer option.

    Now you can create PDFs in any program at all, including Adobe Acrobat reader! Just open a PDF, select print, and specify the page range you want to print and select the Rster edge  printer driver.

    thanks for sharing, this imaging programme is  awesome but somewhat overpriced for me who will just use it only once, do you have some cheaper or even free versions, any suggestion will be appreciated!

    If you have just text files or source code to print, you can print all files or selected files using the TextToPDF utility.
