Numeric Keypad doesn't work

Since installing Windows 7 (from Vista) my numeric keypad does not work (and yes I have checked that the Num Lock is on).  I've checked that the driver is current and cleaned the keyboard and contacts.  Funny thing is when I moved the keyboard to another computer, the numeric keypad worked fine.  I hooked up the keyboard from that computer and the numeric pad would not work.    I checked the properties and they have the same drivers.  What could cause this error on just one computer (both were updated at the same time)?

Hi ifsandorbuts,

·         Is it a USB keyboard? If yes, then try connecting the keyboard to different USB port and check if the issue still occurs. Let us know the results.

Even try enabling numeric keypad and check if it helps, here are the steps:

1.       Open On-Screen Keyboard by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking On-Screen Keyboard.

2.       Click Options, select the Numeric Keypad check box, and then click OK.

    Thank you Hemal. I have windows 10, therefore I had to enter into the mouse settings to change the 'Turn On Mouse Keys' setting. Thank Jesus I got the guidance I needed ultimately.

    Thank you so much, Hermal! I have not been able to us my numeric keypad in months!!! It was very frustrating to have to reach all the numbers above the letters, when I should have had access to my other number pad.

    the on-screen keyboard Numpad key 4 & & will not work there either it is the same problem with my keyboard, my keyboard works well on other PC running windows 10
