In my particular case, I experienced several other problems, including absolutely no way to print to it as a network printer. The final solution that took me half a day of experimentation to figure out was to make sure every trace of Xerox' own driver
(downloaded from their website) was completely removed and to allow Win7/64 to install its own bundled printer driver. Everything returned to normal, all applications print and the printer is part of the LAN now. But I don't know if your particular model is
covered by Win 7 or not.
I wrote a complete description of the issues but the report I sent in was immediately dismissed by Xerox because I'm from outside the US. Frustrating and, what's more problematic in this case, plain stupid. But if somebody would have a way to contact Xerox
so that I can send them my description and accompanying test files that clearly demonstrate issues with their printer driver, I'd still be willing to. But I won't contact my local distributor, as I mentioned in my previous post, they would never be able to
do anything with that material, that's for sure.
