**Original Title**Upgraded to Windows 7 and installed print driver, now when I try to print, I get this message: 'Print driver host for 32 bit applications has stopped working'
I just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7(64 bit) and have a Xerox Phaser 6180MFP. I downloaded the 64 bit driver and installed it. The test page printed out just fine during installation. Now I'm trying to print from Word 2003 and from Internet Explorer 8 and all I get is a message that 'print driver host for 32bit applications has stopped working'. The system cannot solve the problem and I can't find anything helpful on the microsoft support site.
Can anyone help?

Most likely the Lexmark driver is corrupting the memory of the splwow64.exe process. Launch the 64bit version of IE rather than the 32bit version. The splwow64 process is only used by 32bit applications.

My apologies for the troubles people have been encountering when contacting support for help with this issue. My original posting should have included additional information regarding how to receive support when calling from outside North America.
To find the correct contact information for your country, go to Xerox.com and check to make sure the country setting in the top right corner reflects your country. Then, click on the Contact Us link. You will see a list of phone numbers under the Customer Service heading. I have included an example of what you would see for the UK. When you call the Welcome Center for technical assistance, please request to be directed to 2nd level support. Our 2nd level support representatives can access the beta drivers you need to fix this problem. We expect to have the drivers available publicly on Xerox.com soon. In the meantime, this route should get you the assistance you need.

I am running on xp pro 64 - message thunking spooler APIS from 32 to 64 process. appl. name splwow64.exe mod name znsprngraf.dll . the only printing allowable was now hardcopy unless the system was rebooted.
Although the details showed numerous driver conflicts - it never indicated pdf995 asd one of the issues - however - the drivers oringinated from a paperport pdf converter source in the registry that included pdf995; againshowing no issue related to that specific driver.
Running a windows sheck and repair - splwow64.exe came up corrupt and was repaired.
the details showed in the error message - as in my system I have paperport 12.1 with their Nuance pdf converters installed and defaulted for use, that the entire registry printer string of paperport - that specifically uses PDF995.dll (again not listing it as an issue driver) - as the conflict.
THe message arose after installing Drake tax preparer software - which automatically installs a pdf package without asking as the IRS now allows all to be elect. saved. now the issue was what caused the corruption.
IN contacting Drake - they just happened to mention that their previous version of software had a major issue with a pdf driver - constant conflict issue - thereby replacing that driver with their prop. "Drakepdf " driver. THat is the current install with the version pdfdrake. That driver of conflict in Drake , coincident - was PDF995. THey also stated that recent issues of PDF995 existing in the registry have surfaced - causing conflict. After testing the issue by removing the registry folders coinciding wiht the paperport pdf995 driver location - everything is functioning normally -
Results; finding that the only way to have fully functional linking pdf software is to install the current pdf converter professional plus software - not using the paperport pdf - where fortunately they give you choice to install during program installation.
Hi JacobyDavid. The drivers that were posted in February 2010 are the newest version available.
I would also encourage you to try the hotfix that Alan Morris has suggested in his post below.
