i have set my screen saver to bubbles, after approx an hour or so the bubbles on the screen are whizzing by very very fast. no other issues with screen saver. system recovers after mouse wiggle or key press. havent tried any other saver.
dx up to date, vid drivers up to date
running W7 64 bit
duel vid cards gtx275 sli
duel monitors

I did some 2min research and found this site Here . This "mod" doesnt really change the settings for the speed but it does allow you to tweak some other stuff for the bubbles screensaver. Just have a mess with some of the settings and see how things go from there. Sorry if this sounds vague but its all i can think up of right now - better than nothing i guess. M$ really does need to fix this, theyve nothing for ages now :(

I don't know why the website has listed this as the "ANSWER", when it's not. This is a link to a mod for the screen saver which, while cute, does NOT fix the problem.

I totally agree with TechGuru 2010...it is the only screensaved I enjoy and I have had the problem on 2 computers for quite some time...
Wow...so this has been going on for what....like three years now???....obviously Microsoft doesn't give a feck.
These same bullet bubbles occur after a few hours on WINDOWS 8 too.
I'm using an HP desktop, brand new, with windows 8 installed.
It's the end of June now and from what I hear Windows 8 will have some kind of major update in July but for some reason I really don't think that this Bubbles screensaver will be included in the 'fixes' that are supposed to occur.
