i have set my screen saver to bubbles, after approx an hour or so the bubbles on the screen are whizzing by very very fast. no other issues with screen saver. system recovers after mouse wiggle or key press. havent tried any other saver.
dx up to date, vid drivers up to date
running W7 64 bit
duel vid cards gtx275 sli
duel monitors

I did some 2min research and found this site Here . This "mod" doesnt really change the settings for the speed but it does allow you to tweak some other stuff for the bubbles screensaver. Just have a mess with some of the settings and see how things go from there. Sorry if this sounds vague but its all i can think up of right now - better than nothing i guess. M$ really does need to fix this, theyve nothing for ages now :(

Hello, I am not an expert in any way but thought this might be helpful. I was looking for a way to change the settings on my Wen7 Bubbles screensaver and found this site that shows how. Perhaps it would work to fix your problem. Good luck to you.
knowledge base offers no help! uninstalling and reinstalling vid drivers to a lower release candidate doesnt work. still waiting MS!
I just experimented with a brand new PC with Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. It does the same thing using the Bubbles screen saver after about 1 hour. I hope enough people report this to warrant a patch down the road. It is the only screen saver I actually enjoy.
