some options and controls within control panel will differ accross machines, depending on what capabilites your system has, and/or the manufacturers install for your product includes these options within the setup.

the variety of control panels (options and buttons) are almost unique to each machine.

you can also choose how to display the control panel by clicking **View By:**choose in which type you prefer

I had Windows Vista Home Premium installed on my Sony VAIO PCG-5KSP laptop computer.

It never happened before, but after I installed Windows 7 the touchpad sensitivity went through the roof. The cursor constantly will be "clicked" by my finger or wrist and move to where the mouse is located while I am typing.

It's already happened twice while typing this! I have already tried searching for TouchPad and looked under Control Panel > Mouse >

There is no tab for Properties/Settings with Sensitivity. Under Properties is only shows General, Driver, and Details, and if I click on Change Settings it again only has General, Driver, and Detail tabs.

Where can I change the stupid touchpad sensitivity??

I have the exact same problem --- I am about to tear my hair out --- I cannot seem to resolve this issue --- any help would be appreciated.  - Marilyn

try cleaning the touchpad, the double click feature is a sure pain, not to mention the side-slider

if after udating, you may wish to re-check the mouse in control panel to see what options you have.

I just load Windows 7 on my Tosbiba Satellite replacing the orginal system. I am experiencing the same effect. I find myself accidently moving folders into other folders opening something twice. I am a experience "IT" person testing the software and was attempting to find a way to make the changes and to remove some of new setting such as the double click on the touchpad because i know how it will effect some of my customers. It not too bad for me ...just irrietating when I accidently drag a folder into another folder then go back and try to find that folder.  This could be a big problem for laptop users if Microsoft doesn't provide a simple way of setting someof these new touchpad feature of. I would estimate only 10% of my users would see these features as a benefit.

I am going to try your suggestions and get back to you. I need to look at all these new little features.
