Every time I shut down the computer ; no mater how often; it always comes up " installing 1 of 1 '

I was given help from microsoft once and it worked only for one day now it's BACK

HELP !!!!!

    Type "windows udpate" in the search box.

    Click on "Change settings".

    Instead of "Install updates automatically (recommended)", select any other options.

    Remember updates are necessary to install as it protects your computer from viruses and provides latest updates and drivers for your system.

    Two things:

    Why didn't you give the KB article number / name of this update?  Will you post it now?

    If your theory was true, how do you explain the many others who do not have any issues with Windows 7 - even those who have upgraded to 10 and rolled back in some cases documented on the same forums you are posting on?

    I posted yesterday that the Safe Mode shutdown fixed the issue. This morning when I turned on the computer the download 1 didn't show but after the desktop finished displaying it did show. I did Safe Mode shut down just now and the updated is still pending. 

    When I investigated what the update was and ran it manually, the messaged displayed that it was not appropriate for my computer.

    I think this is just a way to irritate windows 7 user in the hope they will go to Windows 10. It is irritating but not dangerous. I'll check back to see if there is a fix that works all the time.

    I did the fixit fix and that didn't help so I shut down and started up in Safe Mode, then shut down. That made the update 1 issue go away.  Thanks, that has been bothering me for a week.
