Every time I shut down the computer ; no mater how often; it always comes up " installing 1 of 1 '

I was given help from microsoft once and it worked only for one day now it's BACK

HELP !!!!!

    Since the troubleshooting steps in this thread did not resolve your issue and the thread is older, please create a new thread here. This will mitigate any confusion and make your issue more visible. Also include the version of Windows you have installed, any error messages you received and any troubleshooting steps you've tried.

    Same thing is happening with me, now. Related to the KB2600217. This is on Windows 7 64.

    History shows that the update has nstalled successfully one or more times every day since 3/22/2012 with the exception of one failed attempt on 3/24/2012 (but that failed attempt was bracketed by two successful installs that same day).

    As I sit here, the update is again ready to install.

    I did try the Windows Update components reset tool.

    Well that isn't the case wit my PC, I only have one failure but was successfully installed later, so I have not any update pending, but still have the problem every time I turn off my PC...

    Because this annoyed me, I have checked before turn off the machine if I have update pending at that time and what I have noticed is that even having anything to update the machine do the same thing over and over...
