My taskbar is missing when i use Internet Explorer

Am I crazy, or did my task bar disappear?  When I am looking at my desktop I have a task bar... and I could have sworn that for the last couple months (since installing Vista) I had a task bar visable when I was in Internet Explorer.  ("You don't know what you got til its gone."  :-P) Only problem is, NOW when I'm in Internet Explorer, I DON'T have a task bar.  I NOW have to navigate between programs by using the ALT+TAB.  I don't know of anything else that has changed on this computer. 

Any ideas on how to get the task bar up an running for while I'm in Internet

Explorer?

Hello,

It sounds like you may have accidentally enabled Internet Explorer's kiosk mode. Press the F11 key inside of internet explorer, and see if that fixes the problem.

    Go into Control Panel on your Start menu. Click on and open up the  task bar/start menu. Make sure you have checked off

    :Keep on top of other windows", then hit Apply, and then hit Okay. This should fix it for you.

    I have been fooling with this all day, Nothing I did would help. 70 years old and not to good on here but ran across your post and it works great. I'll forget what I did tomorrow but Thank you for now!

    Help!  I tried all the solutions here, but my taskbar is still gone.  It reappears occasionally, but doesn't stay long - it doesn't matter if IE is open or not. .  It's not hidden and the option to show it at the bottom is checked.  I do not have the option to "keep on top of other windows" in my taskbar option.  I am running Windows 7. Please help!
