Am I crazy, or did my task bar disappear? When I am looking at my desktop I have a task bar... and I could have sworn that for the last couple months (since installing Vista) I had a task bar visable when I was in Internet Explorer. ("You don't know what you got til its gone." :-P) Only problem is, NOW when I'm in Internet Explorer, I DON'T have a task bar. I NOW have to navigate between programs by using the ALT+TAB. I don't know of anything else that has changed on this computer.
Any ideas on how to get the task bar up an running for while I'm in Internet
Explorer?

Hello,
It sounds like you may have accidentally enabled Internet Explorer's kiosk mode. Press the F11 key inside of internet explorer, and see if that fixes the problem.

I had to untick the box saying 'Auto-hide the taskbar' before mine worked, not 'keep on top of other windows'
On Windows 8.1 I have to find my start menu by option clicking on the 4 rectangles in the task bar at the bottom of the desktop.
